images from course #3
  • This is a combined course including demonstrations on both types of furniture: Barrel Back and Attached Back Cushion chairs
  • A full pattern demonstration on the making of a barrel back chair (or any rounded back piece of furniture) focusing on the differences from a regular club chair. The demonstration is kept at the beginning level, finishing the project much the same as Basic Principles of Slipcovering Part I.
  • The second part of this course deals with a chair featuring an attached back cushion. By simply learning a simple "trick of the trade", the student will be able to effectively slipcover both an attached back cushion as well as an overstuffed tight back piece of furniture.
  • Basic Principles of Slipcovering Part I is a prerequisite.
